Stilly Valley Health Connections and Arlington Public Schools are partnering together to bring bestselling author, global speaker, and award-winning documentary filmmaker Kevin Hines to speak to the Arlington community on the importance of mental health, hope and resiliency.

Details:   Kevin attempted to take his life in 2000 by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Many factors contributed to his survival, including a sea lion which kept him afloat until the Coast Guard arrived on the scene. He now travels around the world, sharing his story of hope, healing, and recovery while teaching people of all ages the art of wellness and the ability to survive pain with resilience.

In addition to the presentation, the following local organizations will have resource tables at the event:  NAMI Snohomish County, Compass Health, Snohomish County Health Department, Seattle Children’s Everett, Center for Justice Social Work, Volunteers of America – Arlington Community Resource Center, Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County, Sno-Isle Libraries, and the City of Arlington Youth Council.
