In partnership with NAMI Washington, we invite you to a one-hour seminar on mental health for parents and caregivers of school-aged youth.

NAMI Ending-the-Silence for Families is an online presentation to break the stigma of mental health conditions.

This one-hour presentation is for adults with middle school or high school aged youth. This seminar includes information about:

  • The warning signs of suicide.
  • Healthy coping strategies for mental health conditions.
  • Tips on how to talk with your child about mental health.
  • Advice on how to be a strong advocate for your child.

The presenters, which include a young adult, will share their own lived experience with mental health conditions. Audience members will be able to ask questions to gain an understanding of an often-misunderstood topic and learn about resources offered in their community by NAMI and other mental health organizations.

This presentation is provided by the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) – Washington, which is an organization dedicated to raise awareness and provide support and education on mental health.
